Artistic Direction – M° Oscar Locatelli
He graduated in Bassoon with Maestro Ovidio Danzi (formerly 1st Bassoon at the Scala in Milan) at the “G. Donizetti ”of Bergamo in 1991.
He studied with: S. Azzolini, S. Canuti, D. Damiano and V. Zucchiati. He was 1st Bassoon in the Youth Orchestras of: Florence, “Cattolica” in Milan, Savona, Turin, Vicenza, etc. traveling in: Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, India, Holland, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand, until 1994.
In 1995 he studied in Salzburg with the Wiener Philharmoniker and then in Krakow (Poland) at the “European Mozart Academy” also performing as a soloist in: Berlin, Bratislava, Brussels, Budapest, Prague and Warsaw.
In 1996 he was in Russia at the Vladivostok Symphony Orchestra as 1st Bassoon and main teacher at the local Conservatory.
From 1997 to 2000 he worked in the U.S.A with the Seattle Symphony Orchestra, Seattle Opera and Tacoma Symphony; he has recorded soundtracks for Hollywood Movies.
He has collaborated with: the “Pomeriggi Musicali” and “la Verdi” in Milan; the Orchestras of Lecco and Brescia; Wind Orchestras of: Brescia, Lecco, Rovereto (Tn), Rome, Soncino (Cr), Valtellina (So), Verona and Vicenza.
As a Conductor:
He followed courses with Maestro: Ingrosso (2010/12), Belloli and Satanassi (2013) and Gasperin (2014). From 2001 to 2006 he conducted the Concert Band of Zogno and from 2007 to 2012 the one in San Pellegrino Terme (Bg).
He was Guest Conductor in the Concert Bands of: Brembate Sopra (Bg), Brembio (Lo), Cividate (Bs), Ponte San Pietro (Bg), Spirano (Bg), Villa d ‘Almè (Bg);
and Orchestra Liricando of Milan (conducting Barbiere di Siviglia, Rigoletto and Traviata).
In 2015 he was second in the 1st “Veneto” Competition for Conductors with jury of: J. Van Der Roost, D. Carnevali and R. Di Marino.
In 2019 he graduated from the ISEB of Trento after five years of “music conducting learning” with the teachers: B. Appermont, F. Cesarini, A. Loss, L. Marosi, G. Moser, C. Pirola, A. Schillings and J.R. Vilaplana .
In 2021 he graduated with honors at Master in Wind Orchestra Conducting at the Milan Conservatory.
Currently:
He conducts the Concert Bands of Arcene, Selvino and Sorisole (Bg).
He is the Artistic Director of the Selvino-Aviatico Concert Bands Competition (Bg).
He is a music teacher in middle-high school, Bassoonist in the woodwind “Quintetto Orobie”.
Corpo Bandistico Musicale “La Montanara”
The Group was born in 1966.
Every Wednesday evening the group meets to study and prepare the concerts of the season together: in summer (July and August) and during the Christmas period. The repertoire is very vast and ranges from classical to modern music.
For children and adults who want to learn to play, there are individual music courses in which they can choose the instrument they want. The Junior band was also born to deepen the ensemble music right away.
In addition to the concerts, the La Montanara band animates the most important moments of the life of the plateau with parades and playing at the processions. The main objective is to spread the musical culture among the children in the area and give them a way to socialize.
ABBM – Associazione Bergamasca Bande Musicali
ABBM Associazione Bergamasca Bande Musicali is a federation of bands and other musical groups from the Province of Bergamo. It was founded in March 1991 by the will of 85 Presidents of Bergamo musical bands, aimed at pursuing cultural, educational and social objectives, in particular regarding band music.
Despite being particularly aimed at the Bergamo area, the Association’s activity has now acquired, beyond the specific territorial reference, a prestigious role of national importance in the field of training, research and concert planning.
The Association has about 100 associated musical groups and organizes dozens of musical events every year, as well as courses and training meetings of a musical and managerial / organizational type.
In particular, thanks to the continuous observatory on the problems, the assistance work that ensures 360 degrees to the associates and the collaboration with some legislative offices, the reference also becomes logistical, administrative and statutory.
ABBM also maintains constant contacts and collaborates with trade associations, among which the Permanent Table of the Italian Band Federations stands out.
To make the Bands take off towards coveted destinations, however, the serious preparation of the musicians must be underlined, meticulously cared for by the Masters, many of whom trained at the direction courses organized by the Association.
